Oda Knudsen

Den Frie Udstillingsbygning presents a solo exhibition by Danish visual artist Oda Knudsen (1938 – 2022), where the artist’s subtle visual and textual universe is shown for the first time in an complete exhibition. The concept for the exhibition has been created in collaboration with Oda Knudsen, and is continued in the same spirit with Oda Knudsen’s artist colleagues, family and friends. The exhibition unfolds as animersive install off selected works in mixed media: paintings, drawings, poems and sculptures from Oda Knudsen’s many years of work. Oda Knudsen over the years developed a completely unique visual language and textual universe, where concrete situations in everyday life are mixed with societal discussions about class differences, the state of mind, love life, nature and music.
