S-train, Metro M4, and buses 1A and 15. Parking is available at Nyboder.

We want all guests to feel welcome and have the opportunity to experience the art at Den Frie. That’s why we are continuously working to improve accessibility.

Den Frie offers step-free access for wheelchair users via the main entrance. There is an elevator to all exhibition areas, and accessible restrooms are available on every floor. Companions receive free admission upon presentation of a companion card issued by the Disabled People’s Organisations Denmark. Service dogs are also welcome.

Café Pegasus offers a wide selection of food, coffee, and wine in the inviting basement of Den Frie. Here, you’ll find a diverse menu primarily featuring plant-based dishes crafted with seasonal vegetables, organic and locally sourced ingredients from small suppliers.

In 2021, the interior of Café Pegasus was remodelled by the architectural duo Mentze Ottenstein as a tribute to Den Frie’s historic architecture. The café space showcases Willumsen’s original benches, reproductions of his iconic wicker chairs, and is adorned with authentic Willumsen posters from 1902.

Den Frie is available for private and commercial events, with options to rent the entire building or individual spaces.
