Louis Scherfig & Frederik Worm: Mea Sculpa?
24.02.24 — 09.06.24
Louis Scherfig and Frederik Worm present the exhibition Mea Sculpa? as part of Den Frie’s exhibition series ‘Dacapo’, which revisits former artist-run exhibition spaces.
Louis Scherfig works with sculpture, images, sound, and text. Through sensory installations and textual works, he explores how language expands individual and shared realities. His works methodically use fiction and speculation as tools to embody complex aspects of an accelerating time and world. He is involved in running the exhibition space and artist group Bizarro, and regularly collaborates with artist Anne-Mette Schultz on films about two mice trying to save the world.
Frederik Worm lives and works in Berlin. His works investigate the production, distribution, and possession of intimacies in various forms of representation. He often collaborates with other artists or groups and has been touring with musician CTM/Cæcilie Trier since 2022. His work has recently been shown at Café Oto, London (UK); Berlin Atonal, Berlin (DE); CPH:DOX, Copenhagen (DK); After 8 Books, Paris (FR); Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, St. Gallen (CH).
