For 4 whole days, the many rooms of Den Frie Udstillingsbygning will be transformed into a playful participatory, interactive installation concert. Fluxus artist and composer Nam June Paik’s Symphony for 20 Rooms breaks away from traditional art notions and combies performance, visual expressions, music and much more with the purpose of changing the static relationship between composer, performer and audience.
Experience in your own way and in your own time
In this extraordinary piece, the audience is invited to wander freely between small and big intimate worlds of sounds and sensory expressions. Every room has its own peculiar installation and participatory gesture, and it’s up to you to combine the meaning and form. The chronology and composition is an open question – where does the artwork take form?
