Another Map to Nevada is a performative boat ride orchestrated by The Performance Agency in the frame of TOASTER, a collaboration between Husets Teater and Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art, and co-presented by CHART Art Fair. As dusk breaks in, visitors board for a narrated journey through Copenhagen’s waterways. On the way, they pass by performance pieces by contemporary artists that unfold like wondrous sceneries along the riverbeds and bridges. The city becomes the stage of a cinematic happening in which the interplay of action, sound and light immerses the viewer into an ever-changing present. Another Map to Nevada is an assent to the fleeting moment, an invitation to looking up.
Another Map to Nevada Copenhagen features the work of Kristoffer Akselbo, Juliette Blightman Astrit Ismaili, Cassie Augusta Jørgensen, Bill Kouligas, Esben Weile Kjær & Maja Malou Lyse, Lafawndah X Dalila Belaza, Miriam Kongstad, Lene Adler Petersen, Adrian Piper, Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen, Sergei Tcherepnin and Mira Winding.
