Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art offers a number of varied education sequences in connection to our exhibitions directed at different target groups, subjects and age groups.
Please contact our education employees at formidling(at)denfrie.dk for further information.
PRESCHOOL TO 2ND GRADE Our courses for the youngest are planned in order to give the children a fun and exciting introduction to what it means to visit an exhibition, and to show them how one can play with and experience art in different ways. Together we will experiment with how we can experience art with both eyes, nose, ears and the body. |
3RD TO 6TH GRADE The pupils will explore the world of art, in order to become familiar with some of the modes of expression within contemporary art. During the session, we will examine which themes and materials the artists are working with, and their importance for the way we experience the works of art. There will be exercises where the pupils will relate to or sense the art by approaching selected works of art.
7TH TO 10TH GRADE, HIGH SCHOOL, HF, VUC (ADULT EDUCATION) The sessions provide an opportunity to examine and reflect upon the various forms and expressions of contemporary art. Through discussion of the exhibition the students will be able to reflect upon how contemporary art challenges our views of the world through perception and realization. Among other things, the students will explore the interaction between the work, the space and the viewer.
