Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art is offering educational traineeship experiences for students in which you will acquire knowledge and skills for a future career within the art sector.
TRAINEESHIP AS EXHIBITION ASSISTANT We produce approximately eight exhibitions yearly. During a period of traineeship you will have the opportunity to be closely involved in three-four exhibition productions, which means that you will gain insight into various methods of creating exhibition concepts and will be involved in all aspects of exhibition planning and production.
TRAINEESHIP AS COMMUNICATION STAFF Currently we are undertaking a large communication initiative which gives the trainee insight into planning and implementation of various communication strategies. Communication not only related to guided tours, but also to the fundamental considerations concerning the role which the Centre of Contemporary Art intends to have in society.
TRAINEESHIP AS PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSISTANT The trainee will gain experience with communication concerning the exhibitions and activities at Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art, including planning, producing and checking up on the various publicity strategies of the exhibitions, as well as printed papers such as flyers, advertisements, signboards and catalogues.
The trainees will be in close contact with the daily managers and the other colleagues in the house. We are a well-run young team with a fun but also very busy working day. Therefore we emphasize that the trainees are engaged in the activities and will be able to handle an occasionally very hectic working day. We suggest a course of traineeship consisting of an approximately 15 hours working week over a period of five months. But if desired, we can agree on another structure and timetable. Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art is not able to afford any payment arrangements during the traineeship.
